AlarmQuest is an alarm clock you stop by moving. It has **no account and no
AlarmQuest server**. Your alarms, workouts, habits, streaks and journal stay
on your phone. The camera, microphone and motion sensors are used on your
phone only, while you are using the feature that needs them, and nothing
they capture is uploaded. AlarmQuest shows **no ads** and does not track you.
## What stays on your phone
– **Alarms, habits, streaks, workout history, journal entries and settings**
are stored in a database on your device. We never receive them.
– **Camera.** Used to count your repetitions, recognise an object in the
Item Hunt, match a photo of a place you registered, or scan a code. Frames
are analysed on the device and discarded; they are never saved by us,
never uploaded, and never logged. A photo you register for the photo
challenge is kept on your phone only.
– **Microphone.** Used only when you record a sound of your own for an alarm.
The recording is saved on your phone and never uploaded.
– **Motion and activity sensors** (steps, shake, rotation, keep-moving). Read
only while that challenge is on screen; never stored beyond the result.
– **Music library (iPhone).** Used only if you choose a song from your
library as an alarm sound; the choice stays on your phone.
Deleting the app deletes all of this. Profile › Privacy also lets you erase
it without deleting the app.
## What leaves your phone, and why
AlarmQuest contacts these services. None of them receives your name, email,
alarms, workouts or anything you have written.
| Service | When | What is sent |
|—|—|—|
| **Radio station directory** (Supabase, a hosting provider) | When you browse or play live radio | The station search (e.g. country, genre). Standard connection data such as your IP address is visible to the host. |
| **Country lookup** (country.is) | To suggest radio stations from your country | Your IP address, from which only a country code is returned. |
| **Radio stations** | While a station plays | Your phone connects directly to the station’s stream, as any radio app does; the station sees your IP address. |
| **Content downloads** (naina.xyz) | When you download a wallpaper, alarm sound or speech | The file request. Standard connection data such as your IP address is visible to the host. |
| **Apple App Store / Google Play** | When you buy, restore or check AlarmQuest Pro | Handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We receive only whether your subscription is active — never your payment details. |
| **Apple Search Ads attribution** (iPhone) | At most a few times after install | An anonymous token Apple creates, sent only to Apple, to learn whether the install came from an Apple Search Ads campaign. No advertising identifier is read. |
| **Anonymous usage statistics** (Google Firebase Analytics) | In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland only if you allow it; elsewhere on by default | Which onboarding steps were reached, whether a permission was allowed, that an alarm was set, whether a plan was bought, and coarse number ranges. Firebase attaches a random app-instance id it creates. Never alarm times, labels, sounds, camera or motion data, your name, or your advertising identifier. Turn it off any time in Profile › Privacy. |
## Advertising and tracking
AlarmQuest shows **no advertising** on iPhone or Android. It does not read
your device’s advertising identifier, does not track you across other apps
or websites, and does not sell or share personal data.
## Permissions
Every permission is asked for when you first use the feature that needs it,
and every one can be turned off in your phone’s Settings. Alarms still work
without the camera, microphone or motion permissions — only the challenges
that need them are unavailable.
– **Alarms / exact alarms, notifications, full-screen alarms, display over
other apps, battery optimisation (Android):** to ring your alarm on time
and on top of the lock screen.
– **Camera, microphone, motion & fitness, music library:** as described above.
## Children
AlarmQuest is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly
collect personal data from anyone.
## Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you on any server, there is nothing
for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf — everything is on your
phone and under your control. For questions about the services listed above,
their own privacy policies apply. For anything else, email
## Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with
a new “last updated” date, and significant changes will be noted in the
app’s release notes.
